GM, howdy and hello! It’s good to have you here.
This is the competitive Splinterlands newsletter: Pelacor’s Edge.
Every week we send two emails covering information on how to become a stronger & more profitable player, intriguing highlights from Town Hall, and observations of the Splinterlands ecosystem as a whole — written to be readable in 5-10 minutes.
A brief introduction: I’m Lum, a lifelong gamer who stumbled upon Splinterlands in August 2021. After learning the ins and outs of the game and the Hive blockchain, I carved a comfortable spot in the top 100 Gold leaderboards ever since.
Since the reward system rework, I’ve climbed into Champion as a Life & Death specialist. (Dabbling in Dragon splinter too, daily focus permitting!) Besides ranked leaderboards, I actively brawl for my guild in silver league frays to stay well-rounded.
Brief enough I’d say! I would like to close this introduction post with two incredibly useful tools that will bring immediate value to your games and rental experience.
Splinter Tools — A free combat simulator that lets you theory-craft team adjustments. They also offer an inexpensive Brave/Chrome extension that showcases your matchup win-rate percentages in the game UI.
(Link is an affiliate, no pressure!)Splinterlands.Rentals — Wow, the rental golem service has been absolutely gamechanging in saving time managing my rentals. Now it’s set and forget, all my cards get to work, and I can get back to battling. (If you’d like, mention Pelacor’s Edge on sign-up to help out the newsletter).
Bear in mind these tools are still in active development. The simulator for the plugin is not a perfect replication of game outcomes, but overall it’s exceedingly helpful. A bigger breakdown of how I use Splintertools will come in the next edition.
Thank you so much for taking the time to read this introduction.
